Website Privacy Notice

Scope

This notice describes the data processing that happens when you visit or use the thinkertankapps.com website. It does not cover the UltraWall application, which processes data entirely on your device as described in the UltraWall Privacy Policy.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you request a page, Netlify processes your request in order to serve the site and may record standard server information (such as your IP address and the requested URL) as part of operating its hosting infrastructure, as described in Netlify's privacy policy. We do not add any logging of our own on top of this.

Contact form

The form on our contact page is provided by Netlify Forms. When you submit it, your name, email address, and message are stored by Netlify before we are notified by email.

• We use your submission only to reply to you. It is never added to a marketing list.
• We delete submissions from Netlify within 30 days of resolving your message.
• If you prefer not to use the form, email us directly at thinkertank@thinkertankapps.com and no form data is stored by Netlify.

Analytics and tracking

This website uses Netlify Real User Metrics (RUM), a performance-measurement script that Netlify adds to each page it serves for us. During a visit it measures how the page loads and renders in your browser (metrics such as Core Web Vitals) together with related technical request details (such as the page URL and browser characteristics), and reports them to Netlify, which processes them on our behalf and shows them to us in aggregate form, as described in Netlify's privacy policy. We use these aggregated statistics only to see roughly how much the site is visited and how well it performs. We do not use them to identify individual visitors, we receive no profile of you, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking.

The site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Beyond the Netlify hosting, form processing and performance measurement described above, and the embedded videos described below once you choose to play one, no browsing data is shared with third parties. The only browser storage the site itself uses is a single local preference that remembers your light/dark theme choice; it never leaves your device.

Embedded videos

Some pages (such as Apps and News) include trailers hosted on YouTube, a service of Google LLC. Until you press play, each trailer is only a still image served from this website, and nothing is sent to YouTube or Google. When you press play, your browser loads the video player from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). From that point YouTube receives standard request information (such as your IP address, browser details and the address of the page you are on) and may store cookies or similar data in your browser, as described in Google's privacy policy. YouTube shows us only aggregate view counts; we receive nothing that identifies you. If you prefer not to load YouTube, leave the trailer unplayed; the rest of the page works the same.
